A |     The president of a Detroit synagogue was found stabbed to death outside her home Saturday morning, police and the synagogue said.The Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue put out a statement later in the afternoon identifying the victim as board president Samantha Woll.Detroit police responded to a 911 call of an unresponsive person around 6:30 a.m. and found a body outside a home on Joliet Place. The woman, who was not immediately identified by investigators had suffered multiple stab wounds, police said."At this point, we do not have more information, but will share more when it becomes available. May her memory be a blessing," the synagogue said in a Facebook post.In an update shared on Sunday, the Detroit Police chief said in a brief statement that there is no evidence to point to the crime being motivated by antisemitism."The investigation into the death of Ms. Woll remains ongoing. At this time, however, no evidence has surfaced suggesting that this crime was motivated by antisemitism," Chief James White’s statement read.“DPD investigators are working with the FBI to forensically analyze all of the information obtained up to this point in an effort to ascertain the timeline that ultimately led to Ms. Woll's death. Individuals with information that may further this investigation are being interviewed,” his statement continued.Authorities are investigating Woll's death as a homicide, police said on Saturday."Police officers observed a trail of blood leading officers to the victim’s residence, which is where the crime is believed to have occurred," the police said in a statement.The investigation remains ongoing.A law enforcement official briefed on the probe told ABC News that the preliminary investigation has revealed there was likely no forced entry to Woll’s home.Woll's death comes as law enforcement agencies across the country are warning of increased anti-Semitic threats in light of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.Woll had a long career in local politics and worked with several elected officials over the years, according to her LinkedIn page.She recently served as the political director for Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel's re-election campaign.Nessel released a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, expressing shock at Woll's murder."Sam was as kind a person as I’ve ever known. She was driven by her sincere love of her community, state and country. Sam truly used her faith and activism to create a better place for everyone," Nessel said in her post which included a photo of Woll.Woll also worked as a deputy district director for U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., who also released a statement on X following her death."She did for our team as Deputy District Director what came so naturally to her: helping others & serving constituents. Separately, in politics & in the Jewish community, she dedicated her short life to building understanding across faiths, bringing light in the face of darkness," Slotkin said.Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said the state police will be assisting the Detroit Police department in the investigation."My heart breaks for her family, her friends, her synagogue, and all those who were lucky enough to know her. She was a source of light, a beacon in her community who worked hard to make Michigan a better place," she said in a statement.Other Michigan elected officials also expressed their condolences."Decades ago, I shared a day of joy with Sam at the dedication of the newly renovated Downtown Synagogue. It was a project she successfully led with great pride and enthusiasm. Sam’s loss has left a huge hole in the Detroit community," Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan said in a statement to ABC affiliate WXYZ. B |     한산대첩교·부곡온천대교 등                   국도79호선 창원 북면~창녕 부곡 도로건설사업 위치도. 박상웅 의원실 제공남해안 대표 관광도시인 경남 통영시 최대 현안사업인 ‘한산대첩교’와 ‘통영 도산면~고성 삼산면 연결다리’가 모두 예비타당성조사를 통과하면서 ‘제6차 국도·국지도 건설계획(2026~2030)’에 반영된다. 또 창녕군 숙원 사업인 ‘부곡온천대교’와 ‘함안 대산~의령 부림 도로’ 도 나란히 예타를 통과하며 본격 추진될 전망이다.26일 열린 기획예산처 제7회 재정투자평가위원회 심의에서 국도 5호선 통영 도남~한산 도로건설사업(한산대첩교)과 국도 77호선 통영 도산~고성 삼산 2차로 신설사업이 일괄 예비타당성조사를 통과했다. 한산대첩교는 통영시 육지(도남동)와 한산도를 연결하는 국도 5호선 사업으로 총사업비 3396억 원을 투입해 총연장 2.7㎞, 해상 교량 2차로를 신설한다. 이 다리가 놓이면 여객선에 의존해 온 교통 여건이 크게 개선되고, 통영 도심과 한산도를 연계하는 새로운 관광자원으로 활용돼 남해안 관광 활성화를 위한 새로운 전환점이 될 것으로 기대된다. 통영시와 고성군을 잇는 국도 77호선 미개설 구간도 해상 교량으로 연결된다. 1365억 원을 들여 통영시 도산면과 바다 건너 고성군 삼산면을 연결하는 총연장 3.8㎞, 폭 10.5ｍ 규모의 2차로 해상 교량과 연결 도로를 신설한다. 이를 통해 여수~고성~통영~거제를 잇는 남해안 연계 관광루트가 더욱 활성화될 것으로 보인다.이와 함께 창녕군 숙업사업인 2개 도로도 이번 일괄예비타당성조사를 통과했다. ‘부곡온천대교’로 불리는 국도79호선 창녕 부곡~창원 북면 도로건설사업은 총사업비 1705억 원을 투입해 창녕군 부곡면과 창원시 의창구 북면을 연결하는 6.4km 구간의 2차로 도로를 신설하는 사업이다. 낙동강을 사이에 두고 사실상 단절돼 있던 창녕 부곡과 창원 북면을 직접 연결하는 핵심 교통망이다. 국지도60호선 함안 대산~의령 부림 도로건설사업은 총사업비 1457억 원을 들여 함안군 대산면과 의령군 부림면을 연결하는 7.2km 구간의 2차로 도로를 신설하는 사업이다.。
